November is the month of "signs" -election signs, fall registration signs, and "sheep signs" announcing the Sunshine Coast Spinners and Weavers Guild annual Fibres Plus Sale.
The sale takes place Nov. 18 and 19 at the Seaside Centre in Sechelt, opening Friday evening from 5 to 8 p.m. as well as Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Indulge yourself and everyone on your list with the creative talents of spinners, weavers, knitters and felters showcasing wearables, accessories and fabulous yarns for your own projects. Enter the half-hourly draw, participate in weaving a scarf, and observe skillful spinners at work. The gourmet table will once again feature the much prized Christmas cakes and special treats.
Guest artists Darla Van Horne Designs, Everyday Eden, FibreWorks Studio & Gallery, Mellon Glass Studio, Smith & Fisher Pottery and Snake Bay Pottery will be on hand to complement the work of the Guild.
