The Sunshine Coast Salmonid Enhancement Society (SCSES) held its 21st annual dinner and auction on April 7 with a full house at the Sechelt Seniors Activity Centre.
The gala event included a catered salmon dinner by chefs Aldo Cogrossi and Lynn Grossutti, a live auction with auctioneer Wayne Skinner, a silent auction and raffles with a wide range of items generously donated by local businesses and supporters.
MCs for the evening were Duane Burnett and Matt Morris, and guest speaker was Carl Walters, UBC Professor Emeritus in the Institute for the Oceans and Fisheries.
This is the main fundraising event of the year for the SCSES and provides vital support for the Chapman Creek Hatchery.
