A fundraiser for victims of Hurricane Dorian last Saturday afternoon in Sunnycrest Mall raised $1,000 to help with Canadian Red Cross relief efforts in the Bahamas, organizer Michael Maser said.
Maser thanked those who donated and the musicians who came and contributed their music: The Duttons (John Lepore, Charlotte Wrinch, Clay Hepburn), Hayleigh Mart, the Verna Chan Trio (Verna Chan, Dave Roughly, Paul Steenhuis), Dan Richter and Simon Hocking, Celso Machado, and Kevin Crofton.
“Our efforts and funds raised will help people in deep need in the Bahamas,” Maser said.
