The Sunshine Coast Division of Family Practice has officially launched a new online resource dubbed FETCH – For Everything That’s Community Health.
The website at www.sc.fetchbc.ca provides searchable information on everything from mental health to home care supports available on the Sunshine Coast.
“The FETCH resource is an excellent tool for people of all ages, as well as for doctors supporting their patients in their overall health and well being,” said Health Minister Terry Lake about the new online resource.
“Having this community-specific information readily accessible helps people get the care and support they may need, close to home.”
The new website is just one of the projects undertaken by the Sunshine Coast Division of Family Practice as part of the division’s work on A GP for Me, a provincial program that aims to strengthen the health care system.
Content on FETCH is provided by health care and social service agencies, which have the responsibility of maintaining their own content.
Any agency wishing to be involved in FETCH is asked to contact Leanne Swekla with the Division of Family Practice at [email protected]. The public is also invited to send in their thoughts and suggestions about the new website to Swekla via the same email address.
