The One Straw Society and the Food Action Network are presenting the second annual tour, which runs on Sept. 4 from 9 a.m. to noon in Gibsons and Elphinstone and from 1 to 4 p.m. in Roberts Creek, Sechelt and Halfmoon Bay.

Ten Coast residents are opening their gardens and farms for you to visit and enjoy. They range from small urban lots to homesteads, borrowed vacant lands to commercial operations. There are greenhouses of all sizes, raised beds, perennial gardens, boulevard gardens, developing orchards, no-dig mulch beds, rainwater catchment systems, poultry, goats and much more. No matter where you live on the Coast, organizers hope this tour will offer inspiration and insight to help you grow more of your own food.
