CPR Training

Gibsons
CPR

On July 16, the staff at the Town of Gibsons were trained in CPR and the use of their new automated external defibrillator.

The Heart and Stroke Foundation in conjunction with the B.C. government and BC Ambulance Service are placing AEDs in public access locations and training staff to use them through the public access defibrillator program. Studies have shown that early access to effective CPR and early defibrillation in the event of cardiac arrest can increase the chances of survival.
