The Community Volunteer Income Tax Program is sponsored by the Canada Revenue Agency, along with our participating organizations listed below.
Volunteers will complete simple tax returns, free of charge, for low-income clients. Income limits: individual $40,000; family $50,000 for two, plus $2,500 for each additional dependent. Couples are expected to provide complete tax information for both spouses. The program does not serve clients with employment expenses, self-employment income, rental property income, or capital gains. Interest income must be less than $1,000.
The program is operating during March and April. Three options are offered: in-person tax clinics, drop-off/pick-ups, and virtual tax clinics.
