The Sunshine Coast Conservation Association (SCCA) held its sixth annual Ocean Festival with a full week of events and activities. The week’s highlight was the World Oceans Day Celebration on June 8 at Mission Point Park, “a day to celebrate the sea and commit to safeguarding its future” (sunshinecoastoceanfestival.ca). The event included educational booths, music from DJ Sam Pulpo, crafts, raffle prizes and a barbecue.
