Sept. 10 saw a capacity crowd gather at West Sechelt’s Holy Family Catholic Church Hall. It was the 2024 Red Serge Gala in support of the Cops for Cancer Tour de Coast cycling event that raises funds for the Canadian Cancer Society’s efforts to battle childhood cancer. The tour’s next local event will be a stop by the riders at a Community Day event on Sept. 15.
