The colourful, hand-painted banners that decorated the Town of Gibsons over the past two years will be up for sale via silent auction in 2016.
From Thursday, Jan. 7 through to Sunday, Jan. 10 the banners will be on display at the Gibsons Public Art Gallery (431 Marine Drive), from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day.
Coasters are invited to come view the banners in the new year and make a bid on the art piece that inspires them. This silent auction will raise money for the 2016 banner painting project. A note to artists wanting to paint a banner of their own – the deadline for submissions for the 2016 Town of Gibsons Banner Project has been extended from Dec. 31 to Jan. 15.
