The Annual Ceremonial Review (ACR) is a chance for the cadets to showcase all they have learned over the course of the past training year, and for the cadets to be presented with their Certificates of Achievement for completing the training level they are currently in. Cadets who receive their third, fourth and fifth year (Silver, Gold and Master Cadet respectively) training certificates also receive high school credits that go toward the required amount for graduation.
As the training year ends, the cadets are now looking forward to attending various summer training opportunities at Vernon Cadet Training Centre and Albert Head Cadet Training Centre, where they will receive additional skills beyond their local training, and they also get a monetary training bonus.
Regular training begins again in September for all kids aged 12 to 18, with most training taking place at the 2963 Seaforth Army Cadets Training Property in Wilson Creek. Older teens are still encouraged to join – it’s never too late. For more information: Capt Gregorchuk, Shiloh, Commanding Officer 2963 Seaforth Highlanders Army Cadets. Cell: 604-741-1420.
