Amazing Race was ... well, amazing

Elves Club
race

Eleven teams participated in the inaugural Sunshine Coast Amazing Race, organized as a fundraiser for the Elves Club.

Participants met at the Blackfish Pub at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 11, where they were given clues to the location of a series of challenging activities. The teams contested physically and mentally with a variety of crazy challenges, including a dip in the ocean, giant inflatable hamster ball races and a game of tossing ping pong balls into a tissue box duct-taped to a team member’s behind.

The winning team was Len Wrays, pictured here with Lynn Nestman, Elves Club president: (from left) Romeo Lizee, Joseph Beckman, Alex Allen, Joseph Wrinch, and Brian Soanes. The team donated their winnings back to the Elves Club.
