Join the Sunshine Coast Conservation Association (SCCA) as they present their ninth annual Celebration of Conservation, dance and silent auction on Saturday, Nov. 26, at 7 p.m. at the Sechelt Seniors' Activity Centre. Admission is by donation.
The SCCA is a volunteer group committed to protecting the biodiversity of the greater Sunshine Coast region. The Celebration of Conservation is their major fundraiser of the year and it's a time for the SCCA to invite the community to share in the celebration of environmental efforts and achievements made over the previous year.
You can listen to singer songwriter Michael Maser or dance to the tunes of Sweet Cascadia. Sample the wonderful selection of finger foods as you place your final bid on an amazing array of auction items. Items include a solar hot water heater from The Best Solar Hot Water Heater and Free Fuel Forever; stays at the Western Wilderness Lodge and the Painted Boat; and a selection of art work and literature from Sunshine Coast artists and writers.
You can also participate in the auction on-line at www.thescca.ca. Bid early, bid often, new items are arriving all the time.
Better yet, bring family and friends and join in and place your final bids in person at the Celebration. Help support the SCCA in its ongoing efforts to protect the natural beauty and wonder of the Sunshine Coast.
