Kisses and Kicks: Kisses for moving help, kicks to the woman who banged on window

Here are the good deeds (and not so good deeds) that happened in our Coast community this week!
Kisses & Kicks
Kisses & Kicks

Here are your kicks and kisses for the week of August 2!

  • Kisses to the Handicap stalls that heal so many.
  • Kicks to chains that charge 25 cents for a bag to pack out $30 worth of food
  • I spent Sunday afternoon in the ER at Sechelt Hospital and cannot say enough on how well I was treated. From Donna, the admitting clerk, the triage nurse,  Megan, Pam, Cheryl, jordan, Dr. Philipson, I have forgotten one other name, she too was lovely. Thank you to all, I’ll never forget the kindness.
  • Keyboard kisses to the guys from Len Wrays Moving that removed the unusable piano in Lower Gibsons and replaced it with another for all to enjoy!
  • Kicks to the plethora of propaganda and opinions on many topics, and for those that don’t understand the difference between transportation for goods and services and gratuitous air travel. Being open minded and skeptical keep fear and hysteria at bay.
  • Kisses to the Chatelech grads who set up a clever toy share for children at East Porpoise Bay beach. What a lovely act of kindness.
  • Kicks to the woman who banged on my car window, screaming for me to move up to the white line of the traffic lights. She was so out of control, she never saw another vehicle ahead of me.This is how road rage happens.
  • A “castle” full of kisses to all the  participants for your talent and energy at the sandcastle competition. Many thanks also to the local business community for their generous donations for prizes. Thanks to  all who came to enjoy a great, family fun Sandcastle event. What a great community we have. Cheers to all!
  • Kisses to Linda H for undertaking the daunting task of organising her neighbours to put together the Henderson Road whole street garage sale--bringing the ‘hood together, one event at a time.
  • Kicks to the people who continue to park at Coopers Green in the no parking zones and make it very difficult to use the boat launch. The signs are there for a reason. Huge appreciation to the people at Kleindale Supply, and particularly Ray and Glenn, in beautiful downtown Kleindale (Pender Harbour) for their patience and helpful assistance on several honey-do projects this year.
  • Kisses to the person who found my wallet and turned it in at the customer service counter at London Drugs. Thank you so much for your kindness and honesty. I am so grateful.
