Kisses and Kicks: August 15 edition

Here are the good deeds (and not so good deeds) that happened in our Coast community this week!
Kisses & Kicks
Kisses & Kicks

Here are your kisses and kicks for the week of August 15!

  • Kicks to the boneheaded dog walker who has on more than one occasion gathered his or her dog’s excrement into a proper bag and the proceeded to leave it in the middle of Sherlock Lane next to the Sechelt Seniors Activity Centre. What is wrong with you?
  • Kisses to Rami and staff at Sechelt Pharmacy for your continued help and thoughtfulness in dealing with my health issues.  Your concern is very much appreciated.
  • A big sloppy kisses to Vanessa and Charles from Brewster for gifting him Oz’s bed, stuffies and treats after his passing. Your tapper boy will be missed.
  • Huge hugs and kisses to Hayley and Ben at Independent Grocer in Sechelt who helped so much when I felt faint at the store. Safely stored my shopping, helped me to a safe seat, with nice cold water and drove me to the hospital. When I was fixed, I collected my shopping and a charming young man carried it to my car. THANK YOU!!
  • A boatload of kicks to the individual who made a snide/sarcastic comment as we passed in the corridor leading to the public washrooms in Trail Bay Mall. I’m a disabled senior that NEEDS a walker to assist with limited mobility. Have some respect for others even though you obviously don’t. Be grateful you’re not disabled, yet.
  • Kisses to the young man who came back to check on me after I fell off my bike and disappeared into the ditch on the side of the road on the hill coming out of Davis Bay on July 31.
  • Kicks to the person who stole my 4 hp Yamaha outboard. Shame on you!
  • Kisses to Hayley Dodge service department for taking the time out on a very busy Friday to put a new right turn signal light into my van. Thanks for the peace of mind.
  • Big kisses to the wonderful staff and management at Supervalu who support and treat each other and their customers with kindness and care. You are all amazing and so very appreciated.
  • Kicks to all those speeding cars that use Oracle Rd and Mika Rd as a short cut to Sechelt. Oracle Rd is a one-lane road at best unless you’re the one driving on the sidewalk, Mika Rd has a daycare located there with people dropping off and picking up little ones. SLOW DOWN!
  • Kicks to M. A mediocre technician would not have made this error. You didn’t even acknowledge it. Intentional, perhaps? An artist you are not.
  • Kisses to all of this year’s bat counters for helping monitor the health of our important mosquito-eating friends.

Email your Kisses and Kicks to [email protected]. The deadline for submissions is 1 p.m. every Tuesday for a given week.
