The 16th annual Sechelt Arts Festival kicked off with an Oct. 4 reception at the Seaside Centre in Sechelt. The evening offered a shíshálh native welcoming song, two dance performances, a welcoming speech from Mayor Darnelda Siegers and much camaraderie among the guests.
