Pender Harbour Wildlife Society presents Living with Alternative Energy on Tuesday Jan. 17, 7 p.m. at Pender Harbour Secondary School. Hear the perspectives of a long-time enthusiastic user of solar, wind and micro-hydro-generated power and the views of an electrician who installs the systems and actually knows what all the numbers mean.

Lorne Berman of Halfmoon Bay has contentedly lived off grid for over 35 years. He shares his overviews and discusses the advancements that have made alternative electricity increasingly more available, affordable, efficient and reliable.

Richard Starling of Olson Electric’s Alternative Power Systems specializes in assessing and installing systems, both off-grid and grid-tied. He will also comment on what is coming in the future. Questions and lively discussion are encouraged during this presentation. Free and open to everyone. Refreshments will be served. Updates at info@penderharbourwildlife.com
