This Friday, July 12, enjoy a special musical evening at Pender Harbour Music Society’s Coffee House at the School of Music. Performers include Wanda Nowicki and Ken Dalgleish, jazz duo; Ryan Enns, guitarist and pop, rock, folk singer from Down Under; and HUGS, our favourite, hard-working ukulele band. Harbourside Friendship has an adventure planned for Thursday, July 18 when they tour the Harbour aboard the Slocat. Bring a picnic lunch to enjoy at the Millennium Park following the cruise. Reserve with Marlene at 604-883-9900. 

Pender Harbour Days, the annual festival celebrating the nautical heritage and historical events of Pender Harbour, is three days of activities and exhibits for everyone, Aug. 2 to 4. Friday night the festival opens with the boat parade of classic and modern seagoing vessels throughout the Harbour. Saturday is full of activities, heritage displays, mini boat-building, Search and Rescue and Hard Hat Divers demonstrations, vendors, food and music. Sunday, the very popular Heritage Presentation will have you captivated listening to stories of the past. This festival is a community-wide event supported by the Pender Harbour Living Heritage Society and Pender Harbour & District Chamber of Commerce. See www.penderharbour.ca for more details. 

Pender Harbour Chamber Music Festival Aug. 16 to 18 will be their 15th anniversary. There will be five concerts over the three days. For more info on this year’s festival, see penderharbourmusic.ca. Tickets can be purchased online or by phone: 604-989-3995.
