BURNABY, B.C. — Celebrated musician Chad Allan, a founding member of legendary Canadian rock bands the Guess Who and Bachman-Turner Overdrive, has died. He was 80.

The materials that were burned in the fire included Aviation Regulated Liquid, mercury acetate, lead acetate, mercaptans, ethanol, organic peroxide, formamide and calcium chloride.

Owyn McInnis was a fourth-year outside hitter on the Thompson Rivers University WolfPack men’s volleyball team. Two of his teammates suffered critical injuries in the crash.

Burning is expected to take place now through March in the Portage Mountain Quarry area and along the north and south bank of the Peace River between the Site C dam site and Peace Canyon Dam
