North-central B.C. is coming out of several days of extreme cold to more seasonal winter temperatures but not without a heap of snow first.

Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for the Prince George region, running along Highway 16 from Fraser Lake to the Alberta border, including Fort St. James and Quesnel.

Total amounts of 15 to 20 cm of snow is expected, starting tonight and continuing into Tuesday evening.

Rapidly accumulating snow could make travel difficult over some locations, Environment Canada warns, urging drivers to be prepared to adjust to changing road conditions.
