Kamloops RCMP confirm they are investigating an apparent road rage incident last week in Brocklehurst, video of which went viral on social media.

Police said they are looking to speak with anyone who has any information about a June 28 altercation on Tranquille Road just west of the Brock Shopping Centre.

“According to the report, a male driver threw a coffee cup from his vehicle at another vehicle, made threatening comments and drove away,” RCMP Cpl. Crystal Evelyn said in response to a query from Castanet Kamloops.

“The male driver was accompanied by a woman. Police attempted to contact those involved.”

The incident is alleged to have taken place at about 8:50 a.m. Evelyn said the investigation is ongoing.

Last week, Pippa Epp told Castanet she was stopped at a red light when a couple in the vehicle next to her began yelling at her. She said the man in the vehicle threw a half-full Tim Hortons cup into her car, spilling coffee all over her interior.

According to Epp, the man then cut her off and confronted her on the side of the road. She filmed that altercation and posted the video to TikTok, where it went viral.

Epp said she wants to see the man charged with assault. She said she believes a number of passersby witnessed the incident.

Castanet Kamloops has attempted to reach out to the man in the video.

Evelyn asked anyone with information about the incident to call police at 250-828-3000.
