A Vernon teen has been killed in London – just days before she was to return home.

UK publication The Mirror reports Ashley Wadsworth, 19, was found dead at a block of flats in Chelmsford, Essex, about 4 p.m. Feb. 1.

Police swarmed the housing estate after receiving reports of a domestic disturbance.

Paramedics apparently tried to revive Wadsworth, who died at the scene.

Wadsworth had travelled to England on Nov. 12 to visit a new boyfriend she had met online, Jack Sepple.

The Sun is reporting detectives are currently questioning the 23-year-old man on suspicion of murder and said they are not looking for anyone else at the moment.

While in the U.K., Wadsworth visited numerous tourist hotspots and posted photos online.

She also joined Sepple's family for a trip to the historic town of Rye in East Sussex and was due to return to Canada later this week.

Tributes have begun to pour out for the young local woman on social media.
