Sunshine Coast weather: UV index rising

Overnight showers were prevalent as B.C.'s lower Sunshine Coast moved into the third last day of May, 2025.  Environment Canada is calling for skies to clear this afternoon and for daytime high temperatures to top out at 18 degrees C. Winds from the southeast at 20 km/h are anticipated. Those are predicted to shift direction and come in from the west later this morning.

Today's UV Index is to reach 5 or moderate and to rise to 8 or very high, by tomorrow (May 30).

Over at Weatherhood, the call is for chances of rain today and each day of the coming weekend. Skies are anticipated to show us mixed conditions through that period, with the sunniest stretch forecast to come our way on Sunday. Daytime high temperatures are to stay just below 20 degrees C and overnight lows in the 10 degree range.
