Sunshine Coast weather: A mix of conditions today

While early morning thermometer readings at in the lower teens, Weatherhood.says people on the Coast should prepare for highs of 18 degrees C today.

A mix of conditions, with some sun, cloudy periods and a 30 per cent chance of rain is forecast from Environment Canada  for the lower Sunshine Coast today, June 19.  The June (summer) Solistice is just over a day away, That is slated to arrive in our area at 7:42 p.m.on Friday, June 20. 

While early morning thermometer readings are at in the lower teens, Weatherhood.says people on the Coast should prepare for highs of 18 degrees C today. Winds will also increase throughout the day, with morning hours slated to see breezes in the 1 to 2.5 kilometre per hour (km/h) range, and midday reading near 7 km/h.  By evening winds will scale back to the 6 km/h range and taper off over night to 5 km/h

Both sources say clouds and a high chance of rain are to come our way for Friday and Saturday.
