Volleyball is big on the Coast

There are many club teams on the Coast including U13 to U16 girls. One of the teams, Chaos, the U14 girls, did very well their first season together.

Chaos went to the provincials in Kelowna where they brought home a bronze medal. In Abbotsford, they attended the Canada West Nationals playing three full days of volleyball as well as enjoying an amazing opening ceremony with more than 1,000 athletes.

Chaos played against teams from the Yukon, Alberta, Saskatchewan and B.C. Chaos lost only one round robin match and advanced to the quarterfinals, finishing sixth out of 24 teams in their tier.

The volleyball was amazing with excellent team play. Many thanks go to the players and their parents who travelled to the Lower Mainland at least once or twice a month. Many of the parents also helped to scorekeep and do lines. The Sunshine Coast teams have awesome support.
