I read with interest your report on the new curriculum, ‘The Plight of the Sakinaw Salmon’ (Coast Reporter, Nov. 28).
The youngsters involved give me hope for the future.
I wasn’t aware that the DFO offices were being closed. Let’s look at this decision from our government’s point of view: we are presently involved in some bombing missions in the Middle East. These bombs are expensive. We can’t be wasting our dollars trying to save some fish!
To me, this is one more thing to remember come next federal election. Let’s get rid of this bunch in Ottawa.
