What’s really behind the ire?

While many find the stickers and displays that circulate Sechelt to be negative and distasteful, I think that it’s far more important to look past the stickers to what they represent.

If members of our community are so upset with the current political climate that they feel compelled to invest time and money becoming third party sponsors, wouldn’t you like to know why they are so upset?

Instead of dismissing them as bullies or naysayers and accusing them of not playing fair, we should find out what’s really behind the ire. They might know something that we aren’t all aware of.

Have we all kept up with every council meeting in the last three years and the consequences of every decision made?

Let’s educate ourselves as best we can before we cast that all-important vote.

This is not a mere personality contest. We are choosing candidates for the next four years whose vision of Sechelt will insure the welfare and happiness of each and every one of us. It’s not impossible. After all, that’s why we still live here.
