What a difference a donation can make

Sleeping on the beach is not romantic nor an adventure when you are in your 60s and have serious health problems.

You are vulnerable to drunken youth and aggressive ill meaning predators. You are not safe.

A $100 donation to the Sunshine Coast Community Services Society Homelessness Outreach Program will purchase a sleeping bag and tent. This combined with the provincial Park Pass available to people on disability pension or welfare will allow a person experiencing homelessness to access safer accommodation at a provincial park site campsite.

It's a start.
