I attended the Gibsons town meeting at the Legion March 10. The usual minority — again — were rude and disrespectful to the Town staff and council.
It was amazing how many times I heard people say I want this or I want that. What they forgot was a little thing called the municipal election. That election produced a result that we (not I) elected, by an overwhelming majority. That majority has made it clear they want the Town of Gibsons to grow in a responsible way. It is imperative that the town develop to its full potential.
What is important to some are past awards. Awards are for egos and do not keep people employed, do not add and improve infrastructure and do not keep the lights on.
Our elected officials have been given the mandate to see to it that Gibsons grows and thrives, not that we shrivel and die.
