Jenny is bang on with her article, but if you want to see some staggering statistics about not only our but also Canada's dependence on food imports log on to: http://www.eatrealeatlocal.ca/#/take_action. "Click Here to Watch".
It's a Hellmann's site, but don't let that stop you. It's a wake- up call and if Canada doesn't start addressing our dependence on imported food, think Easter Island.
