In the same vein, we had enough water in Chapman Lake this summer to last into October without having to tap into the remaining 60-plus per cent capacity of the lake in November with a siphon. Considering the facts that we had over three months with minimal rain and no snow pack, this shows an average level of confidence in the state of the current system in place. With inevitable upcoming growth, we have options available to utilize our resources and extend them through prolonged dry spells. We will not all die from thirst.
