I would like to express my thanks to the organizers of the March for Life held in Sechelt on May 9. This event made it possible for Sunshine Coast residents to show their solidarity with the many thousands marching in larger communities across Canada and giving public witness to the atrocities of female gendercide presently being committed in Canada.
The main march in B.C., held in Victoria, usually attracts several thousands, but ferry schedules, cost of travel and overnight stay requirements deter many mainland coastal residents from attending.
The option of being part of this first March for Life in Sechelt was a welcome and economical alternative.
