Bicycles for Humanity (bicycles-for-humanity.org) is a non-profit movement in aid for Africa that provides the gift of mobility and communication.

This charity collects bicycles, laptops and cell phones for distribution through their network of “globally-supported communities” in Namibia-Angola, South Africa and Uganda. I had two bicycles that weren’t being used and decided they could be put to better use through this fantastic organization. On May 7, those bikes were put out in the driveway in Halfmoon Bay, tucked near the stairs with a sign indicating they were for pick-up.

In the short time they were put out to when they were to be picked up, someone came into the driveway and stole one. To the person who stole that bike, let me ask you this — do you really think you needed it more than someone in Africa? Shame on you.
