So BC Ferries CEO Mike Corrigan thinks it’s our kvetching about high fares, not the fares themselves, that are driving away tourists (Coast Reporter, April 24).
Talk about spin!
Guess what, Mike, if the fares hadn’t gone up by 80 to 100 per cent in 10 years, we wouldn’t have to complain. If you’re so concerned about the health of coastal economies and about the tourist industries, it’s in your hands. So suck it up, Mike, and start listening instead of passing the buck to the very people who are victimized.
