Those green scoop-the-poop doggie bags, so well distributed around our Coast, are a great invention. However, in our neighbourhood, there is someone regularly dog walking who considers it just too much trouble to take their filled bags home for proper disposal.
The bags are biodegradable, but this process takes months. The lovely forest trails winding between Trail Bay Estates and the adjacent Sangara development have become littered with used bags thrown into the woodlands. Some have ended up swinging from tree branches, others tossed just a few feet from the trail.
This seems to us a complete disregard for others who enjoy walking these trails.
To the people who are using the woods as their personal garbage dump, we say have some integrity and respect for our neighbourhood. I’m pretty sure you would not appreciate the same actions being extended to your environment.
