It was exciting to read the article about the demise of the very punitive rental agreement for our Sechelt Public Library (Coast Reporter, March 29).
Congratulations to chief librarian Helen Prosser and the library trustees. Much praise should go to Mayor John Henderson, council and staff for ridding us of a long-standing problem. Praise also to Sunshine Coast Regional District board and chair Garry Nohr. I look forward to more discussion and problem solving such as would create a reasonable and equitable funding formula or maybe even regionalization of the library systems of our Sunshine Coast.
We, the library users/consumers look forward to real progress because our libraries are virtually victims of their own success! Congratulations for this latest achievement.
