I recently attended the March Against Monsanto in Roberts Creek. As always, it was an uplifting experience to attend a political protest. When speaking to other folks demonstrating, I was appalled to hear that none of them knew that both the SCRD and the Roberts Creek official community plan committee (OCPC) voted last year to change the longstanding policy against the use of herbicide. The elected folks on these boards voted to allow the use of herbicide on some invasive plants if it was injected. Herbicide that will now be allowed is a Monsanto product. Roundup is poison, whether sprayed or injected.

Folks, you can’t elect people to office and forget. Pay attention to how they vote and the decisions they make once in office. It’s called eternal vigilance. In respect of Mother Earth,
