An open letter to Christy Clark:
I am a Grade 6 student at Gibsons Elementary School.
At school, we were going to go on an amazing field trip to Bard on the Beach and see A Midsummer Night’s Dream because we are doing that play at school. Because so many classes want to go, there has to be a draw for it. Our class was one of the lucky ones. We won the right to see the play. I was so excited! We would actually see the play we were rehearsing for months live. It sounded like an amazing experience. But then, because of your government’s lockout, we found out we couldn’t go.
I would like you and your government to stop your problem-creating lockouts and resolve this unfortunate situation that you created. You are upsetting so many people, you know? Not one person agreed with the government. Everyone hates what the government is doing.
Please, make up with the teachers, and treat the teachers fairly. After all, they have the most important job on the planet and need a lot of respect.
