It takes a village to raise a child for sure.
I’m an elder in our village and I’m deeply saddened and concerned by the inability of our leaders to resolve the education system challenge before them.
I have children and grandchildren who are in pain, children who don’t understand what’s happening, parents who are struggling with earning a living and keeping the home boat afloat and a teacher who is worrying about her students, but wanting to be treated fairly and with respect.
The children in our village deserve better.
We’re the adults and we must fix this now. A mature, stable education system can happen. Use my tax dollars, not to fight schoolyard battles, but to find the path to strong, empowered children — who are our future.
