A while ago my teacher wanted us to do a project on how we could improve are highways. Our class never got around to doing it, but I have been thinking about it and if we put parking metres on some of our roads, not only would that help stimulate the economy it would encourage people to make fewer trips and have an alternative measure of transportation such as biking or walking.
I don't see many street lights around, but the ones we do have could be motion censored. It would save electricity and would still work just as well.
I understand an 11-year-old's ideas may not be the most appealing, but please think about.
