Last week Paul Martiquet stated in his Health Matters column that “the first sign of Lyme disease infection is usually an expanding rash which occurs in about three-quarters of infected people.”

The fact is that more than 50 per cent of people report no rash of any kind.

My daughter Rose has late stage Lyme disease and never had a rash. We had no idea a tick had bitten her until six years after it happened when she found a tick head buried beneath her skin five years ago.
