Re: “LNG not an either-or proposition” (Letters, July 24).
I don’t like commenting on issues outside my areas of expertise, and hopefully someone more knowledgeable than I will offer a critical analysis of Captain Stephen Brown’s ludicrous attempt to create the impression that potential shipping mishaps pose the only environmental danger with respect to the production and distribution of LNG. Nevertheless, I’m compelled to mention that his intimation that LNG is necessary to assist in meeting our energy and economic needs is quite misleading, as the mind-blowing documentary Pump (now on Netflix) makes very clear.
