On Monday afternoon I had a 20-minute talk/pause/wait-on-hold/talk with various people in the United States, because my organics recycling had not been collected from my home in Lower Gibsons.
None of the “Stateside” (their term) employees of Waste Management (Houston, Tex.) knew who in Gibsons collects the organics. They told me to leave it all on the roadside. Gibsons’ dogs, deer, and bears will be delighted.
Since many of us know the nice guy who drives the truck, but don’t have his phone number, I wonder why we must talk to Texas, who don’t know it either?
As the saying goes: What is wrong with this picture?
