Let’s talk about etiquette baybee, it’s all about you and we….
Question: since when is it acceptable to treat others with disrespect and harshness?
Answer: never!
This submission is to address the bad behaviour of people and the way they address our hard-working service industry workers. They do the best they can. Your order wasn’t wrong by malice or intent. Sorry your coffee was a few degrees off or the sandwich wasn’t to your standards.
As my mother said, “If you have nothing nice to say, keep it to yourself.”
As my father said, “Treat people the way you would want to be treated.”
Kindness and respect is what we need in this crazy messed up world for all. You are not alone.
Leave your anger, entitlement, and general discontent at home.
Realize that it is not easy for others as well and move forth with grace and kindness. You will reap the benefits.
