Letters: Cellphone ban a no-brainer

Editor:

Banning cellphones in the classrooms would seem to me to be a no-brainer. Otherwise, it wouldn’t be much different than bringing comic books or any other form of distraction into class. I knew a substitute teacher who had a shoebox at the classroom door for the students’ cellphones as they came into the class. If they refused to relinquish their phone, they had to sit out that period in the principal’s office.
