Editor:
Lessons learned in childhood have been forgotten by the Harper government.
"Cheaters never prosper" is an old childhood mantra that teaches children how to justly treat their friends and contributes to a developing moral code that informs our adult relationships both personal and public. When government allows cheaters to prevail, that teaches all of us that it is OK for Canadian citizens to cheat each other and our country. By shielding cheaters in his inner circle, and allowing tax evaders to cheat the tax system out of hundreds of millions of tax dollars, Harper has led me to conclude that he and his government lack a moral code by which to govern.
A government that has lost its moral compass needs to go.
