The residents of Carlson Point are thankful for the tireless dedication of the united firefighting efforts of the SCRD, the Coastal Fire Centre, the Ontario firefighters, and firefighters who have come to us from other provinces, battling the Sechelt Mine fire and all of the fires raging across this province. Thank you also to the SCRD’s Emergency Services for keeping us informed and safe. We are humbled by the kindness offered by friends and strangers alike.
Daily we are reminded of the remarkable generosity of this community that we have chosen to call home.
Finally, to the family of John Phare, our deepest condolences. His actions on behalf of our community and forests will always be remembered.
