Editor:
My son has special needs. The B.C. Ministry of Education is supposed to provide programs, skills and educational training for him. But due to the Liberal governments’ agenda of practising anti-labour tactics over the last decade (or more), my son does not get the educational services that the province of B.C. said they would provide.
This is not the fault of the B.C. Teachers’ Federation or any of its members, but rather the fault and blame or the Liberal Party due to their inside agenda of placing labour issues above our children’s education.
In my opinion, my son’s teachers more than justly deserve an excellent wage package, and the district school board needs education funding that is up to standard with Canada’s other provinces.
My son’s teachers should be given an award for all they do with so much less. Christy Clark, give your head a really good shake and get the Ministry of Education’s priorities in order. Our province’s children’s education is of the highest importance. It is also critical that the Ministry of Education understand that any education neglected now will only end up costing the province much more years down the road, when our now young students are under-educated young adults falling back into the system because of our present government’s failure to see what the priorities for education are now.
