Flat sewer rate outdated

The Town of Gibsons utility bills have now arrived. I am writing about the cost of the sewer use, which on my bill is $124.58. From what I understand, all residential properties pay the same amount, regardless of how much water is used.

This sewer cost is a flat fee and has been that way since the water meters were installed. But as homes are getting bigger with more family members, more B&Bs are in operation and the Town is now working on allowing people to have short-term rentals, I feel that this sewer cost should be based on the amount of water coming into the home. (I know that all water does not go into the sewer system, but the majority of it does). Earlier this year, I did speak to the Town and was told this was the preferred way of billing this usage. However, I think it would be fairer to bill the sewer costs according to water usage.
