It’s easy to conserve water. This morning when I took a shower, I put the plug in the tub. Ran water at lowest pressure. Shampooed hair, scrubbed torso. Turned off water. Sat on side of tub, scrubbed feet, shaved legs – all in about an inch and a half of water.
Then I took my mop and used that water to wash kitchen floor, mop up hardwood hall and living area, and bathroom floor.
My floors might be a little scummy because I did not rinse with clear water. But that’s OK, I can do a thorough scrub when water levels reach above restrictions.
And it took LESS than two inches of water. Think how much water people waste when they take daily baths and fill to the top.
We are fortunate to have such luxuries – let’s try not to abuse them.
